Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ODDS ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the ODDS mobile application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here, alongside our Terms of Service.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: phone number, username/display name, and password (stored in encrypted/hashed form).
• Verification data: one-time passwords (OTPs) sent via SMS through our SMS provider to verify your phone number.
• Device and push notification data: a device push token used to deliver notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Usage data: app interactions such as favorite teams/leagues, viewed tickets, and general diagnostic/log data.
• Advertising identifiers: for free-tier users, Google AdMob may collect advertising identifiers and related device information to serve and measure ads.
• Payment and subscription data: when you purchase Premium, our payment processors handle payment details. We receive transaction status, subscription status, and non-sensitive metadata (e.g. plan, renewal date) — we do not receive or store your full mobile money PIN, card numbers, or app-store payment credentials.
• Support communications: messages you send us through in-app support or email.

We use collected information to:

• Create and secure your account, and verify your phone number;
• Provide tickets, tips, live scores, and other core features;
• Process subscription purchases and manage entitlements;
• Send transactional and, where permitted, promotional push notifications;
• Serve and measure advertising for free-tier users;
• Respond to support requests;
• Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms;
• Improve and maintain the Service.

We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, strictly to operate the Service:

• Firebase (Google): push notification delivery.
• Google AdMob: advertising and ad measurement for free-tier users.
• RevenueCat: management of Google Play / Apple App Store subscriptions.
• ClickPesa: processing of mobile money payments (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money).
• SMS/OTP provider: delivery of phone verification codes.
• Live scores data provider: supplies match/league/live-score data; no personal account data is shared with this provider.
• Cloud hosting providers: host our servers, databases, and file storage.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ODDS, our users, or others.

Free-tier use of the Service displays ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as your advertising ID), IP address, and app usage information to serve ads and measure their performance. Premium subscribers do not see ads. You can review Google's practices at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and can limit ad personalization through your device's ad settings (e.g. "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).

We retain account and usage information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time; some information may be retained where required by law or legitimate business purposes (e.g. fraud prevention, financial records).

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including password hashing, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may:

• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information;
• Withdraw consent to promotional notifications via in-app settings;
• Limit ad personalization through your device settings;
• Cancel your subscription at any time via the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or in-app settings, as applicable.

The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Our infrastructure and some of our service providers (such as Google/Firebase) may process or store data outside of Tanzania. Where this occurs, we rely on our providers' contractual and technical safeguards to protect your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above, and, where appropriate, notified in-app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
